FAQs
Q: Can I do your strength training program at home without a gym?
A: Yes. Effective strength training does not require a commercial gym. Many of my clients train entirely at home using dumbbells, resistance bands, or a basic barbell setup. Your program is designed around the equipment you actually have access to, your experience level, and your schedule. That said, if you do have gym access, we can absolutely take advantage of a wider range of equipment to accelerate your progress. Either way, your program will be built for your real life, not an idealized version of it.
Q: Will strength training make women bulky or too muscular?
A: This is one of the most common concerns I hear and the science is clear. Building significant muscle size requires years of very specific training, high caloric intake, and genetic factors that most women simply don't have. For the vast majority of women, consistent strength training produces a leaner, more defined appearance, not a bulky one. It also improves bone density, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and mobility. These benefits become especially critical during perimenopause and menopause, when muscle loss accelerates and bone density naturally declines. Strength training is one of the most powerful tools an active woman over 35 has in her arsenal.
